Qualifications

• Six months of experience or training in patient care.
• Possession of a current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate.
• Completion of an accredited Registered Nursing, Practical Nursing, Medical Assistant, or Emergency Medical Technician Program.

Responsibilities

• Direct and assist in providing patient care, including ambulating, bathing, positioning, lifting, and dressing.
• Direct and assist in the feeding of patients. Monitor and document patients' eating patterns.
• Clean rooms, make and change bed linen.
• Distribute clean linens, wash, dry, sort, fold, and store patients’ clothing.
• Measure temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, height, weight, intake, and output, and record in the patient’s medical record.
• Observe the patient’s condition and report any changes to the charge nurse.
• Provide care to patients with infectious diseases, as needed.
