Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation - Temple is seeking a Nursing Assistant (PCT) for our inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Temple, TX. This full-time role supports patients with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurologic disorders, and other complex conditions in a 12-hour day shift schedule.

Responsibilities include vital signs, daily care, feeding assistance, mobility support, and patient transport.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Preferred: hospital experience as CNA or related certification.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs, height, weight, and demographic data.
• Assist patients with personal care (bathing, oral hygiene, shaving, hair care).
• Deliver meals and assist with feeding; document oral intake.
• Turn and reposition immobile patients; assist with mobility programs.
• Transport patients to designated areas and treatment centers.

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
