Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation in Frisco, TX is seeking a PRN Nursing Assistant (PCT) for the day shift (6:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.).

This Joint venture with Select Medical focuses on inpatient rehabilitation patients and compassionate care. Responsibilities include obtaining vital signs, assisting with daily care, delivering meals, turning and transferring patients, and transporting them to treatment areas.

Qualifications

• BLS certification through the American Heart Association is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs, height, weight, and demographic data.
• Assist patients with personal and daily care, such as bathing and grooming.
• Deliver meals and snacks, and document oral intake.
• Turn and position immobile patients safely; assist mobility.
• Transport patients to designated areas within the facility.

Compensation depends upon candidate’s years of experience.

PRN Hourly Pay: $20.00/per hour

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs, height, weight, and demographic data
• Assist patients with personal and daily care, such as bathing, oral hygiene, shaving and hair care
• Deliver meals and snacks, feed patients who are unable to feed themselves and document oral intake
• Turn and position immobile patients safely while maintaining proper body alignment; participate in mobility program
• Transport patients to designated areas, such as to and from various treatment centers

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Certified BLS required through the American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Hospital experience
