Job summary

Essentia Health is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for Essentia Living Center in Fosston, MN. The CNA will work about 12 hours weekly on the AM shift (6:00 am–2:30 pm) with every-other weekend and holiday rotation, and weekend differentials offered.

Responsibilities include direct resident care, hygiene support, nutrition assistance, and safety compliance. Applicants must complete a recognized nurse aide training program and be on the state nursing assistant registry or obtain registration

Qualifications

• Completion of a recognized nurse aide training program.
• Current registration on applicable state nursing assistant registry or procured within 4 months of hire/transfer date.

• Provide direct care to skilled nursing facility residents.

What You'll Do:

Responsible for providing direct care to skilled nursing facility residents and for serving the needs of residents in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort, within the scope of the nursing assistant role. Provides personal hygiene care, assists with providing for nutritional needs; recognizes and deals with the problems of the aging process, recognizes and promptly report changes in resident condition to shift nurse, and maintains a safe, clean, attractive, and neat environment for the residents. Must be aware of and prevent the abuse of vulnerable adults in the care of the Essentia Health skilled nursing facility. Maintains awareness of safety issues and strives to accomplish all responsibilities in a safe manner. Identifies safety hazards and emergency situations and initiates corrective actions.
