Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Evansville, IN is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) to join our team. This full-time role offers 12-hour day shifts and a compensation range of $17.23–$21.00 per hour based on experience, plus a $2,500 sign-on bonus.

Eligible for shift differential for night/weekend shifts, and robust benefits including health coverage and PTO. The CNA will assist with bathing, oral care, feeding, and mobility, perform hourly rounds, transport patients as needed, and help maintain

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire
• Hospital experience as a Nursing Assistant or CNA or related field

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, and hair care
• Perform hourly rounds to monitor patient needs
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist transporters
• Maintain cleanliness of rooms and equipment
• Stock supplies and support unit operations
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients' rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
