Job summary

Select Medical's Select Specialty Hospital in Evansville, IN is hiring a Nursing Assistant (NA) for full-time 12-hour day shifts. The role offers a pay range of $17.23 to $21.00 per hour based on experience, plus shift differential for nights and weekends, and a $2,500 sign-on bonus.

The CNA will provide direct patient care, assist with bathing, hygiene, feeding and mobility, participate in hourly rounds, and help maintain clean rooms and equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or 3+ years of related work experience.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Hospital experience as a CNA or CNA certification or related field (e.g. medical assistant, RN student).

Responsibilities

• Perform patient bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to and from treatment centers and assist in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs.
• Keep patients' rooms clean and orderly.
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
