Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Evansville, IN is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) for full-time 12-hour day shifts. Compensation ranges from $17.23 to $21.00 per hour, with night/weekend differential and a $2,500 sign-on bonus.

The role supports post-ICU patient care with extensive orientation and professional development opportunities. Minimum qualifications include a High School diploma or GED (or 3+ years related experience) and BLS within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent work experience).
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Hospital CNA experience or CNA certification or related field.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient bathing using basin-less products and assist with oral hygiene.
• Assist with oral feeding and hair care for patients.
• Participate in hourly rounds and monitor patient needs.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist movers as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs, and equipment.
• Keep patient rooms clean, organized, and stocked as directed.
• Assist with unit stock levels of supplies and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
