Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant for the 11:00pm–7:15am night shift at Westchester Hospital (Bronxville). Responsibilities include monitoring vitals, assisting with meals and safe transport, and supporting RNs in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, CPR/BLS certification, and relevant Nursing Assistant experience.

Qualifications

• One year in acute care setting preferred or certified long term care Nursing Assistant
• Current CPR Training from the American Heart Association (BLS)
• Previous Nurse's aide experience in a hospital setting or certification from an approved accredited Nurse Aide training program or currently enrolled in a BSN program for nursing, at the junior year level or had completed at least one clinical practicum

Responsibilities

• Monitor blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.
• Provide meals and ensure safe patient transport.
• Provide compassionate patient focus and perform select care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Attend to patient needs during night shift 11:00pm–7:15am with rotating weekends/holidays.

This is a part time night shift position covering the hours of 11:00pm - 7:15am with rotating weekends and holidays at NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester Hospital in Bronxville; right across from the Metro North Station.
