Job summary

Ebenezer is seeking a Nursing Assistant/Registered (CNA/NAR) to support residents in our Ebenezer Skilled Nursing Facility (TCU) in Edina, MN. The role provides hands-on care and patient support for adult short stay patients, with a 6AM–2PM day shift and a two-week block schedule.

Located in Edina near Fairview Southdale Hospital, the facility offers benefits and opportunities for growth within TCU and Assisted Living.

Qualifications

• Active MN Nursing Assistant registry at start date or during a 4-month grace period if hired into Ebenezer Nursing Assistant Training program
• 0-1 year experience in a related role

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal cares per individual care plan (bathing, oral hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, showers)
• Record vitals and communicate status to staff
• Perform AM/PM cares and peri-care/catheter care as needed
• Assist with transfers and mobility as required
• Document in the electronic medical record system
• Respond to call lights and resolve resident/family concerns
• Maintain room cleanliness and report equipment issues
• Receive/give shift reports to staff during handoffs

Job Overview

Ebenezer is seeking a Nursing Assistant/Registered (CNA/NAR) to support our residents in our Ebenezer Skilled Nursing Facility (Transitional Care)! This role provides hands on care and patient support services for our adult short stay patients at our spacious care center TCU in Edina, MN.

Aurora on France is a new, innovative senior community attached to Fairview Southdale Hospital in the heart of Edina, MN. Located conveniently near Hwy. 62 and France Ave. and is on a bus line. Aurora has 136 units offering a full continuum of care including Transitional Care, Enhanced Care and Assisted Living/Memory Care. This patient support schedule includes;

• 48 hours in two weeks
• Day shift; 6AM - 2PM
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation

Block Schedule

Week 1: Monday, Wednesday

Week 2: Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday

Responsibilities

• Assists resident based on individual care plan with personal cares such as; bathing, oral hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, showers and responds to call lights
• Nursing Assistant may per community patient care model check and record vitals
• AM/PM cares; including peri care and catheter care
• May turn, lift or transfer residents with or without other persons/mechanical assistance
• Observes residents and reports status to appropriate staff in a clear and concise manner
• Chart or document in electronic medical record system
• Seeks to resolve resident and family concerns
• Receives and gives report to appropriate staff during various times in work shift
• Other duties such as; order and cleanliness in rooms and work areas, reports malfunctioning equipment to maintenance department, and answers phones in a timely manner

Required

• Active on MN Nursing Assistant registry by start date - OR - If hired into the Ebenezer Nursing Assistant Training program, granted a 4-month grace period from hire date to be active on the MN Nursing Assistant registry
• 0-1 year experience

Preferred

• High School Diploma/GED
• 1+ year experience
