Job summary

Baptist Health Corbin Emergency Department in Corbin, KY is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care under RN supervision on the 3 North unit. This full-time, third shift position supports hygiene, mobility, vital signs, and basic procedures to assist care teams in a fast-paced ED setting.

You will document data, assist with admissions and transfers, maintain supplies, and respond to emergencies with compassionate care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current KY Nurse Aide Certification, or first year of nursing program with clinical validation.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire if not currently held.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care: hygiene, mobility, toileting, feeding, positioning.
• Obtains and documents vital signs, intake/output, weights, and specimens.
• Performs delegated clinical procedures: BG monitoring, EKGs, venipuncture.
• Assists with admissions, transfers, discharges and procedures.
• Performs clerical and unit coordination duties, including charts and orders.
• Maintains supplies, equipment and a safe patient care environment.
• Responds to patient needs and emergencies with compassionate, respectful care.

**Summary****Job Description:****Nursing Assistant****Full-Time, 3rd****Shift****3 North | Corbin, Ky**Baptist Health Corbin Emergency Department (ED) is a Level IV Trauma Designated unit with 28 beds that provides comprehensive, around-the-clock care to patients of all ages. The department treats a wide range of conditions, from non-emergent complaints to life-threatening illnesses and injuries. A dedicated split-flow area supports efficient evaluation and treatment of fast-track patients with lower acuity needs.
