Job summary

Eastern Washington University’s School of Nursing in Cheney is seeking a Program Specialist 2 to oversee admissions, recruitment, and administrative support. This full-time, 12-month position reports to the Director of the School of Nursing and works on-site in a collaborative office environment.

The ideal candidate will manage admissions processes, coordinate clinical placements, and maintain student records while communicating effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent years of work experience.
• Experience in a busy professional office environment that demonstrates ability to manage multiple assignments and shifting priorities.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of individuals and diverse populations.
• Excellent data management skills with MS Excel, Outlook, Google Sheets, and other applications.

Responsibilities

• Admissions: Manage the admissions process for the School of Nursing, including checking requirements and updating student status; audit student records and assure fulfillment of admission requirements; assist applicants with eligibility information; evaluate transcripts for prospective transfer students; plan and coordinate Interview Day; advise applicants on the application process; stay current on admission policies.
