Job summary

MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC is seeking an experienced Clinical Administrator to lead nursing operations within the Division of Nursing. You will direct and supervise clinical and administrative resources to provide holistic, culturally competent, evidence-based nursing care for patients and families.

The role requires leadership across shifts, collaboration with the Nursing Leadership team and other hospital leaders, and ongoing support for professional development,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
• Master's degree in Nursing or health-related field preferred.
• Must be from a nationally accredited program.
• 3–4 years of progressive nursing care experience required.
• Leadership and management experience preferred.
• RN licensure in DC or compact state required.
• CPR certification (AHA/Red Cross) within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise clinical and administrative resources.
• Lead and model professional nursing practice and care environment.
• Oversee shift leadership (evenings/nights; days/weekends/holidays).
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
