Job summary

Mercy Health in Cincinnati seeks a House Supervisor to provide nursing administration and continuity of patient care in the absence of unit nurse managers at The Jewish Hospital.

The role supervises hospital personnel, assigns and evaluates care, responds to emergencies, and partners with ROC and supply chain to ensure timely delivery of medications, equipment, and information services. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Nursing (preferred)
• Current RN license in state or compact (required)
• BLS Basic Life Support (required)
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support (preferred)
• ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support (preferred)
• Nurse Executive Certification or designated specialty certification (preferred)
• 2 years nursing experience with 1 year minimum clinical experience (preferred)
• Charge nurse or management experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates activities of hospital personnel to maintain continuity of safe, efficient patient care.
• Makes patient care assignments according to staff ability and patient needs.
• Evaluates care given and provides feedback to staff; maintains accountability for own and delegated care.
• Escalates issues and responds to emergencies; supports mission and policies of Mercy Health.
• Collaborates with ROC and department leaders for patient care assignments and resource delivery.
