Job summary

MercyOne Health System is seeking a Part-time House Supervisor RN to provide administrative leadership across hospital departments during shifts without management coverage. You will supervise clinical nursing care, facilitate communication, and support patient placement and unit needs to ensure safe, high-quality care.

Responsibilities include budget-conscious staffing, infection control focus, and collaboration with leaders to maintain smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Part-time House Supervisor RN with supervisory responsibilities.
• Minimum 3 years medical/surgical, ICU or ER nursing experience.
• BSN preferred and Iowa RN license required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as administrative resource in absence of administrators and department managers.
• Supervise clinical nursing care, both clinically and administratively.
• Participate in patient placement and prioritize needs of care units.
• Help balance departmental budgets by optimizing staff utilization and resources.
• Support infection control and CQI initiatives.
