Job summary

Piedmont Columbus Midtown is seeking an experienced nurse leader to promote and maintain high-quality patient care on the assigned shift. The role plans, directs, and coordinates with Admissions and Bed Control to optimize patient flow and service.

You will supervise nursing staff, be the designated on-site hospital administrator after hours, assess on-call requests, and coordinate disaster response. Strong nursing practice knowledge and leadership are essential for this position.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nursing program is required.
• Bachelor's or Master’s in Nursing preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership and clinical competency.

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain quality patient care on the assigned shift.
• Plans, directs, and coordinates with Admissions and Bed Control to facilitate flow.
• Monitor bed availability and implement surge capacity measures as needed.
• Supervise nursing staff and coordinate staffing on a shift-to-shift basis.

• 3 years of nursing experience in a hospital setting Required

Licenses and Certifications:

• RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Required
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Required
• ACLS Preferred
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Preferred
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Preferred
