Job summary

The role coordinates schedules, organizes meetings, and supports departmental goals while liaising with HR, Telecommunications, and Accounting.

The position emphasizes operational efficiency, effective communication, and fiscal/ personnel record maintenance to enable nursing leadership to focus on patient care and clinical excellence.

Qualifications

  • Education High School Diploma.
  • Experience 4 years business or administrative experience in a university medical center, governmental environment, or equivalent. Higher education may substitute.
  • Preferred some undergraduate education.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates administrative functions of various sections within department to ensure policy compliance.
  • Interacts with other staff services departments concerning financial, budgetary, and personnel matters.
  • Maintains financial and personnel records and prepares documents as needed.
  • Provides counsel on administrative matters affecting interdepartmental relations.
  • Triages and routes patient, visitor, and vendor calls.
  • Coordinates supervisor's schedule and travel arrangements for visitors and guests.
  • Prepares materials for proposals, meetings, and conferences; takes and distributes minutes.
  • Completes complex projects and reports with cross-department collaboration.
