Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College is seeking an adjunct faculty member to teach nursing courses on a per-semester, as-needed basis. Responsibilities include creating a learning environment, delivering instruction, and assessing student progress using common syllabi.

Responsibilities also include maintaining attendance/grading, providing student support outside class time, and meeting all scheduled classes with appropriate technology such as Canvas and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of current technologies appropriate to area of instruction.
• Master’s degree in nursing from a regionally accredited institution; RN license in Indiana; two years of related work experience.
• Original transcripts may be required at interview and hire.

Responsibilities

• Teach and facilitate student learning in assigned classes.
• Provide syllabus for courses and follow required content.
• Maintain attendance and grading records per college policy.
• Be available to students outside scheduled class time to answer questions.
• Meet all scheduled classes and use technology (Canvas, PowerPoint) as needed.
