West Coast University in California is seeking a Nursing Academic Specialist to guide nursing students toward academic success and professional growth. As a key member of our student-centered community, you will work with faculty and staff to support persistence and achievement throughout the nursing program.

You will lead workshops and remediation sessions, integrate ATI resources, and collaborate on initiatives to identify at-risk students and improve course performance.

Qualificações

• MS Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
• Experience with online learning management systems
• Knowledge in technological support for program delivery
• Compliance with state, federal and local regulations (e.g., Board of Nursing)

Responsabilidades

• Supporting students learning through workshops, remediation sessions, group tutorials, and one-on-one meetings to improve course performance.
• Ensuring full integration of ATI tools and resources in all student meetings to enhance remediation and concept understanding.
• Creating methods of integrating strategies to increase test taking skills, study skills and note taking skills to increase course performance.
• Collaborating with faculty to identify course weaknesses and develop innovative initiatives to address them.
• Collaborating with faculty to identify Students at Risk for persistence issues and develops action plans to address their needs.
• Identifying Students at Risk through data tracking platforms and develops interventions to address identified challenges to core course success and persistence.
• Assessing the effectiveness of course specific persistence strategies and progress in meeting mutually established objectives with students.
• Participating in professional development and organizations to maintain current ideas, research and practices, attending meetings, workshops and seminars.
• Evaluating data such as proctored assessments and pre/post tests to advise the Manager of Persistence and Outcomes, Nursing.
