Job summary

Central Network Retail Group, LLC (CNRG) is seeking a Nursery Area Lead to oversee daily nursery/garden center operations, drive customer service excellence, and guide a team in maintaining plant health and presentation.

You will manage plant care, inventory, and merchandising while collaborating with store leadership on seasonal plans and displays, ensuring safety, quality, and a visually appealing space.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a nursery, garden center, landscaping, or related retail environment preferred.
• Working knowledge of plants, gardening, and basic horticulture practices.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to lift, move, and carry merchandise (up to 50 lbs) as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support day-to-day operations of the nursery area, including plant care, inventory management, and merchandising.
• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with plant selection, care guidance, and product recommendations.
• Ensure proper watering, pruning, fertilizing, and general maintenance of plants and nursery stock.
• Train, coach, and support nursery team members on procedures, safety, and customer service expectations.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels, assist with ordering, receiving, and organizing nursery products.
• Ensure the nursery area is clean, safe, organized, and visually appealing at all times.
• Monitor plant health and promptly address issues such as pests, disease, or damage.
• Follow company policies, safety guidelines, and loss prevention practices.
• Collaborate with store leadership on seasonal planning, promotions, and displays.
