Outdoor Supply Hardware is seeking a Nursery Area Lead in Moraga, CA to oversee daily nursery and garden center operations. You will guide team members, ensure plant health, manage inventory, and maintain safe, attractive product displays.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, strong customer service, and collaboration with store leadership on seasonal planning and promotions. Work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in a nursery, garden center, landscaping, or related retail environment preferred.
• Working knowledge of plants, gardening, and basic horticulture practices.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to lift, move, and carry merchandise up to 50 lbs.

Responsabilités

• Lead and support day-to-day operations of the nursery area, including plant care, inventory management, and merchandising
• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with plant selection, care guidance, and product recommendations
• Ensure proper watering, pruning, fertilizing, and general maintenance of plants and nursery stock
• Train, coach, and support nursery team members on procedures, safety, and customer service expectations
• Maintain accurate inventory levels, assist with ordering, receiving, and organizing nursery products
• Ensure the nursery area is clean, safe, organized, and visually appealing at all times
• Monitor plant health and promptly address issues such as pests, disease, or damage
• Follow company policies, safety guidelines, and loss prevention practices
• Collaborate with store leadership on seasonal planning, promotions, and displays
