Job Summary

Under general supervision supervises and instructs children enrolled in the University’s Parent-Child Learning Laboratory (PCLL) to promote development of social, physical, and intellectual growth needed for primary school.

This is a grant funded position.

Essential Duties
  • Prepares lesson plans and develops activities for the academic, social, and physical development of children.
  • Instructs children in practices of personal cleanliness and self care to promote independence.
  • Monitors and evaluates progress of students. Communicates with parents concerning the individual needs of child and curriculum progress.
  • Assists the Director with center activities.
  • Maintains files of attendance records, academic progress, and other documentation on assigned students.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Education

High School diploma or G.E.D. or equivalent and specialized or technical training

Required Licensing / Certification
  • CPR and First-aid certification.
