The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc. is hiring for a responsible position focused on planning and teaching activities for children in the Early Childhood Laboratory. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and certifications in CPR and First Aid.

This is a professional position responsible for the daily planning and teaching activities of children enrolled in the Early Childhood Laboratory (ECHL). Responsible for developing and executing a daily class schedule for own classroom; planning and implementing learning center activities, group experiences, and directed learning experiences; evaluating individual child’s performance of activities and recommending promotion; developing programs for students with special educational needs; cooperatively supervising the assistant teacher; and supervising university students working in the classroom. Works under limited supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Reports to the Director.
Bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies, child development, family studies, or a related field is required. Must meet continuing education requirements of 24 hours per year and maintain CPR and First Aid certifications while employed. One year of experience working with young children or one semester of clinical practice experience is required. Two years of classroom teaching experience in pre-kindergarten and/or primary grades is preferred. CPR and First Aid certifications are required within 90 days of employment.
