Job summary

Wolsingham Primary School in County Durham is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support a child with SEND in the Nursery. The post is 15 hours per week during term time plus two additional weeks, starting 2 November 2026 and finishing 16 July 2027.

The successful candidate will have experience in Early Years, good interpersonal and organisational skills, and must be able to communicate clearly in spoken English. DBS checks will be required.

Qualifications

• Applicants must hold a qualification that meets the approved ‘full and relevant’ criteria for Early Years qualifications and inclusion in staffing ratios.
• The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.

• Support one-to-one a child with SEND in the Nursery.
