Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island is seeking a Clerical Services Associate for the Nursery/Maternity unit on a part-time night shift. The successful candidate will provide clerical support to ensure efficient unit functioning, including order transcription, computer entry, medical record maintenance, and answering calls from patients, families, and visitors.

High School diploma or GED required.
Excellent communication (oral and written), organizational, interpersonal and customer service skills required.

Responsibilities

Performs other duties as assigned.
Performs clerical tasks to ensure orderly unit functioning.
Supports growth and development of the unit and assists coworkers in daily activities.
Communicates with patients, families, and healthcare team in a timely manner and reports pertinent information to nurses or managers.
Enters accurate patient information into the electronic medical record per hospital policy. Transcribes orders following guidelines.
Maintains routine office equipment and coordinates repairs as needed.
Keeps environment clean, safe, and therapeutic; supports HEICS plan as required.
