Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network is seeking a Clinical Assistant Manager to advocate for and allocate resources to promote efficient, safe, and compassionate nursing care, while supporting shared decision-making and professional autonomy. This role assists with personnel, budget, strategic planning, and regulatory compliance on the unit.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing; RN licensure is required in the state of employment.
• BSN strongly preferred; ADN or diploma with commitment to complete BSN may be considered.
• Minimum of two years in clinical nursing practice; one year in leadership or charge role preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of nursing, healthcare, and organizational systems; knowledge of performance improvement theory.

Responsibilities

• Assists in development of PI Plan initiatives with Clinical Manager to improve outcomes.
• Provides feedback and counseling, and assists with discipline for assigned staff as appropriate.
• Provides staff with performance evaluations as defined by HR and participates in regular leadership meetings.
• Supports peer review systems and tools for staff input into evaluations; fosters staff involvement in professional activities.
• Coordinates with the Clinical Manager to ensure patient satisfaction targets are achieved and maintained.
• Participates in performance improvement activities; uses data to meet expectations and improve processes.
• Ensures new hires and agency staff receive timely orientation with documentation per policy.
