Job summary

Paradigm Northwest in Houston, TX seeks a Unit Manager (LVN/RN) to oversee nursing staff and ensure high-quality resident care. You will assist the Director of Nursing, lead in-services, and enforce safety and regulatory compliance across shifts.

You must hold an active Texas RN or LVN license with several years of supervisory healthcare experience, and familiarity with PointClickCare and infection control protocols is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current, active license as LVN or RN in Texas.
• Minimum 3 years in a supervisor role in healthcare, LTAC/LTC preferred.
• Experience with rehabilitative/restorative nursing preferred.
• Knowledge of nursing regulations and facility administration laws.
• Ability to make independent decisions when required; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing staff and assist the Director of Nursing to ensure quality care.
• Provide in-services and staff development to meet standards and regulations.
• Identify safety concerns and promote a safe environment for residents.
• Participate in audits, budgets, and compliance activities.
• Schedule staffing, recruit personnel, and manage on-call coverage.
• Oversee infection control practices and staff training on policies.
