Job summary

SNF Rehab & Healthcare is seeking an experienced RN Unit Manager to provide nursing leadership and clinical expertise for a designated resident population. You will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to design, implement, and evaluate programs, ensuring 24-hour continuity of care and resident welfare.

The role requires graduation from an accredited school of nursing, current NJ licensure, and prior leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Must have leadership experience, minimum one year.
• Current NJ state nursing license.
• Membership in professional nursing associations recommended.

Responsibilities

• Lead unit as nursing manager and supervise staff.
• Ensure 24/7 safe nursing care with appropriate staffing.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate unit protocols and standards.
• Assess staff performance against job descriptions and unit goals.
• Discipline as needed per policies and procedures.
• Encourage staff to perform at their best.
• Provide guidance to professional and nonprofessional staff.
• Hold shift meetings and communicate with interdisciplinary team.
• Attend requested committee meetings.
• Cover nursing administration on weekends/holidays as needed.
• Participate in QA activities and quality improvement reviews.
• Identify educational needs and plan staff development programs.
