Job summary

Saint Joseph Villa is seeking a Unit Manager to plan, direct, and evaluate nursing care on the unit. You will supervise staff and maintain 24-hour accountability for unit functioning, ensuring high-quality resident care and regulatory compliance.

The role requires GERIATRIC care experience, a nursing license in PA, and strong leadership to advocate for residents and collaborate with physicians, families, and the care team. This is a full-time position at our facility in Pennsylvania.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN or LPN license in Pennsylvania.
• At least 1 year of geriatric care experience.
• Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid regulations.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all aspects of resident care on the unit.
• Conduct resident rounds daily and address issues as needed.
• Perform and document comprehensive resident assessments.
• Oversee development and revision of comprehensive care plans.
• Document resident care and responses to care.
• Participate in shift reports with adequate follow-up information.
• Monitor and evaluate performance of nursing staff and unit clerk.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies and safety standards.
• Communicate changes in resident conditions to supervisors, physicians, and families.
