Job summary

Ciena Healthcare is seeking an experienced Unit Manager to lead and educate nursing staff in a skilled nursing environment. You will oversee RN, LPN, and CNA teams, ensuring high-quality care and collaborative teamwork.

The role emphasizes supervising procedures, evaluating care delivery, and contributing to care plans. Strong leadership and communication are essential to support residents and staff daily.

Qualifications

• Current CPR certification.
• Management or supervisor experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises nursing care provided by RN, LPN, CNA and others.
• Reviews and implements all nursing procedures and systems.
• Assesses and evaluates the systems which facilitate the delivery of quality guest care and performance of staff.
• Uses a systematic approach in the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care.
• Contributes to the guest assessments (MDS/CAA’s) and the development and implementation of a plan of care.
• Evaluates guests’ responses to nursing interventions.
• Understands the rationale for the use of medications and treatments and correctly administers as needed.
