Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking an RN Unit Manager to supervise and coordinate patient care on the unit, guiding nursing staff and collaborating with families to maintain high standards of geriatric care.

You will direct daily nursing and CNA activities, ensure accurate charting, administer medications as ordered, respond to emergencies, and uphold Life Care's policies and code of conduct while promoting a safe, compassionate environment.

Qualifications

• Nursing diploma (ADN or BSN) required.
• Active RN license in good standing.
• CPR certification required on hire or during orientation.
• 1 year geriatric nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily functions of unit nurses and CNAs.
• Chart appropriately, accurately, and in a timely manner.
• Provide, manage, and coordinate patient care and services.
• Administer medication as ordered by a physician.
• Respond in a leadership capacity to emergency situations.
• Coordinate patient care plans and services.
• Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients.
• Assist in the evacuation of patients.
• Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance.
• Communicate and function on an interdisciplinary team.
• Read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
