You will lead staff, conduct performance reviews, participate in hiring, and support professional development. Nebraska RN licensure and a BSN are required; CPR certification is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse licensure from the State of Nebraska or approved compact state as defined by the Nebraska Nurse Practice Act.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and certification in specialty preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience managing patient populations consistent with the area of assignment.
• Charge/supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the operations management of the unit and staff delegations.
• Leads staffing to ensure safe and efficient patient care and adherence to staffing plans.
• Conducts timely staff performance appraisals and coaching for development.
• Ensures adherence to policies and smooth patient admissions, transfers and discharges.
• Collaborates with Nurse Manager on budget reporting and operational variances.
