Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) to lead nursing teams, coordinate staffing, and support hospital operations with a focus on quality and safety. The ANM collaborates with Nurse Managers to implement strategic plans and drive excellence in patient care.

The ideal candidate holds a New Jersey nursing license (BSN required, MSN preferred), BLS/CPR and ACLS, and at least three years of nursing experience, with prior supervisory exposure.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license is required.
• Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing required; MSN preferred.
• American Heart Association (AHA) BLS/CPR certification is required.
• ACLS required.
• National Certification acceptable to Magnet Recognition Program; must obtain within two years of hire.
• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience.
• Prior assistant manager or supervisor experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate staffing, throughput, quality and safety outcomes.
• Provide operational and administrative support to Nurse leadership.
• Participate in unit and hospital decision-making and staff recognition.
• Assist with hiring, staff development and corrective actions.
• Interpret, implement and communicate nursing policies and standards.
• Ensure adherence to organizational competencies and behavior standards.
