Qualifications

• BSN required and current RN license in Rhode Island.
• Master's degree strongly preferred in related field.
• 3–5 years progressive clinical nursing experience.
• 2 years leadership/charge nurse or equivalent experience preferred.
• Quality improvement, staff development, and operational management experience preferred.
• BLS credential required; specialty certification within two years of hire.
• Nurse Executive Certification (NE-BC/NEA-BC) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clinical quality and patient safety: ensure safe, high-quality, evidence-based care.
• Maintain patient safety culture, high reliability, and regulatory readiness.
• Monitor quality metrics and implement action plans to improve outcomes.
• Lead efforts to reduce hospital-acquired conditions and preventable harm.
• Oversee budget, staffing, productivity, and resource utilization.
• Develop operating and capital budgets with Finance; manage labor costs.
• Foster healthy work environment, staff engagement, and professional development.
• Promote shared governance, staff competency, and leadership development.
• Drive performance improvement using data and dashboards; sustain innovations.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, or related field
