Nurse Technician (Surgical) (Full Time)

Are you looking to be a part of a compassionate care-giving team? At NMC Health, we're proud to set an award-winning standard for healthcare in the Wichita Metro Area.

We are currently seeking a Nurse Technician (PRN) for our Surgical Unit. In this role, you will interact directly with patients and families, providing comfort and transportation, monitoring of well-being and assisting with daily living needs in a manner that leads to high levels of patient satisfaction. In addition, you will need to be able to complete more advanced patient care (insert Foley catheters, IV start, etc.) after training has been provided; as well as, use your dedication and compassion to be a vital link between our patients and our talented healthcare professionals ultimately delivering compassionate care as you help to discern what is in the best interest of the patient/family. Nurse Techs are employees that are currently enrolled in a RN or LPN program and have completed their first semester of the nursing program.

The shifts are 7 am to 7 pm or 7 pm to 7 am. However, we are very flexible with nurse tech hours and will work directly with your school schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and experience:

1. High school diploma or equivalent required
2. Currently enrolled in an ACEN or CCNE accredited RN program
3. First semester of program must be completed

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

1. Must know principles and practices of nursing

Licensure, registration or certification:

1. Current certification in CPR/Basic Life Support required
