Job summary

Hillview Health Care Center within La Crosse County seeks a compassionate Nurse Technician to support the long-term care team. You will provide direct resident care under the supervision of an RN, administer medications, and help implement individualized plans of care while continuing your nursing education.

Ideal candidates are nursing students enrolled in an RN or LPN program, with CNA credentials and a clean background check.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an RN or LPN program or have attempted licensure.
• Certified Nursing Assistant listed on Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry.
• Passing grades in nursing courses and background check completed.
• Must work under direct supervision of an on-site RN.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and administer medications under RN supervision.
• Support resident safety, wellbeing, and comfort.
• Communicate resident information to the RN and supervise staff as needed.
• Follow physician orders and implement care plans.
• Attend required in-service education.
