Job summary

Nurse Technician – Full Time Night Shift

Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, invites experienced nurse technicians to join our team. This role contributes to community health by providing basic patient care under nursing supervision during night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic patient care as delegated by an RN, including monitoring vital signs, measuring glucose, and recording intake/output.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, eating, toileting, and ambulation.
• Observe and promptly report abnormal physical, mental, or emotional findings to nursing staff.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of patient rooms and common areas.
• Manage the tech desk and support nursing/physician staff to aid department throughput.
• Document care and activities per unit standards.
• Participate in performance improvement, required education, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• BCLS certification required; Handle with Care preferred.
• Critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment.
• Rapid learning and navigation proficiency with multiple software systems.
• Effective English communication (read/write/speak).
• Complete the Skills Competency Checklist within 90 days of hire.
• SRNA or EMT preferred.
• High school diploma preferred.
