Corewell Health’s 8 South Neuro unit in Royal Oak is a 52-bed progressive/medical-surgical unit focused on acute stroke care and neurosurgical interventions, with a fast-paced learning environment for new grads. The unit supports students and graduates through clinical rotations, transcripts and licensure steps as part of our nursing pipeline.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program (RN) as a student.
• May be enrolled in a BSN or ADN program.
• RN from another state awaiting Michigan licensure or exam results.
• Transcripts must be provided at hire and may be requested for review.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of a Nurse, perform routine bedside nursing tasks and treatments.
• Assist with bathing, grooming, ambulating, and patient care activities.
• Support in procedures such as posturing, turning, and basic charting as required.

Education

Enrolled in accredited nursing program (RN)

BSN or ADN program

RN from another state awaiting MI licensure
