Corewell Health in Royal Oak, MI, is seeking a Graduate Nurse position for the 8 South Neuro unit. The role involves bedside nursing care for a stroke-focused 52-bed unit, with shifts on days and a 36-hour workweek, including every other weekend.

Under supervision of a nurse and hospital policies, you will assist with routine nursing tasks, participate in treatments, and gain exposure to acute stroke care and neurosurgical interventions in a Magnet-designated academic center.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited RN program (BSN or ADN).
• ADN grads must sign BSN completion agreement upon hire.
• RN from another state awaiting MI licensure or NCLEX retake.
• Transcripts must be provided at hire and reviewed periodically.
• Requires completion of adult med-surg rotations (theory and clinical).
• Requires current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform bedside nursing tasks and treatments under supervision.
• Assist with bathing, grooming, ambulation, turning, and patient comfort.
• Assist with bedpans/urinary devices and bed making.
• Support additional nursing procedures as needed.
