Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a float pool nurse tech at Big Rapids/Reed City Hospitals. You will float to Emergency District and Med Surg in a fast-paced environment, providing essential patient care under RN supervision.

Responsibilities include vital signs, glucose checks, hygiene, mobility, wound care, catheter care, and safety support. Requires HS diploma and BLS within 90 days, plus completion of orientation. Benefits and student-friendly scheduling offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days.
• Successful completion of a competency-based orientation program.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a team member in the delivery of quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Provider.
• Performs basic skills per department guidelines and communicates observations to the health care team.
• Collects and reports physiological, psychological, sociocultural and spiritual needs of patients and families in coordination with the RN or Provider.
• Responsibilities include taking vitals, checking blood sugars, bed bathing, ambulating, wound care, catheterization and acting as a safety attendant for patients.
