Corewell Health’s Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital in Grand Rapids seeks a dedicated staff member to join the Resource Center team. You will support nurses and health professionals by performing bedside care, taking vitals, assisting with activities of daily living, and ensuring patient safety.

The role emphasizes teamwork, observation, and clear communication with the care team. This full-time position requires a High School Diploma or GED and BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification within 90 days.
• Strong observation and communication skills required.
• Ability to work under supervision of RN/Provider.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a team member delivering quality patient care under supervision of RN or Provider.
• Performs basic skills per department guidelines and communicates observations to health care team.
• Collects and reports physiological, psychological, sociocultural and spiritual needs of patients and families in coordination with RN/Provider.
• Responsibilities include taking vitals, checking blood sugars, bed bathing, ambulating, wound care, catheterization and acting as a safety attendant for patients.
• Ensures documentation is accurate and timely.
