Job summary

Cone Health Medical Group seeks a Nursing Technician Plus 3 to support the Registered Nurse by observing and documenting patient conditions and assisting with daily living tasks under close supervision.

Responsibilities include mobility assistance, monitoring nutrition and hydration, admitting/discharging as needed, maintaining a safe environment, and ensuring fall risk precautions. Requires high school diploma, 6 months related experience, and active BLS/CPR and Nurse Aide Certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 6 months of related experience is required.
• BLS CPR (American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider) and Nurse Aide Certification are required.

Responsibilities

• Supports patients with daily living tasks, including meals, personal care, and progressive mobility to support recovery and the plan of care.
• Assesses patients' nutrition, hydration, and elimination to distribute resources and anticipate patient needs.
• Admits, transfers, and discharges patients to move them to appropriate locations per the plan of care.
• Assists with patient elimination needs, including ostomy care, enemas, and condom catheters.
• Maintains unit inventories of supplies and equipment to ensure a clean, safe environment per National Patient Safety Goals.
• Verifies fall risk patients have appropriate armbands, socks, and signage to ensure safety.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Assesses patients' quality of life related to nutrition, hydration, and elimination in order to distribute resources and anticipate patient needs.
• Admits, transfers, and discharges patients in order to move them to the appropriate locations in line with the plan of care.
• Assists with patient elimination needs, including ostomy care, enemas, and condom catheters to provide comfortable care for patients.
• Helps to maintain unit inventories of supplies and equipment in order to ensure a clean and safe environment in adherence to the National Patient Safety Goals.
• Checks that fall risk patients have the appropriate armbands, socks, and signage to ensure physical safety.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education:

• Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

• Required: 6 months of related experience.

Licensure/Certification/Listing:

• Required: BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
• Nurse Aide Certification required.
