Job summary

Cone Health Medical Group is seeking a Nursing Technician Plus 3 to support registered nurses by observing and documenting patient conditions and assisting with progressive mobility and daily tasks under close supervision.

You will help with daily living activities, monitor nutrition and hydration, assist with admissions and discharges, support elimination needs, and help maintain a safe, clean unit in line with safety goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months of related experience.
• BLS CPR and Nurse Aide Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Supports patients with daily living tasks, including meals, personal care, and progressive mobility to support recovery.
• Assesses nutrition, hydration, and elimination to allocate resources and anticipate patient needs.
• Admits, transfers, and discharges patients to move them as per plan of care.
• Assists with elimination needs, including ostomy care, enemas, and catheter care.
• Maintains unit inventories to ensure a clean and safe environment.
• Checks fall risk armbands, socks, and signage to ensure patient safety.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

The Nursing Technician Plus 3 supports the Registered Nurse through observing and documenting patient conditions. Working under close supervision, this role assists with patient support through progressive mobility and assistance with daily tasks as needed.

Essential Job Function:

• Supports patients with daily living tasks, including meals, personal care, and progressive mobility in order to support the recovery and plan of care.
• Assesses patients' quality of life related to nutrition, hydration, and elimination in order to distribute resources and anticipate patient needs.
• Admits, transfers, and discharges patients in order to move them to the appropriate locations in line with the plan of care.
• Assists with patient elimination needs, including ostomy care, enemas, and condom catheters to provide comfortable care for patients.
• Helps to maintain unit inventories of supplies and equipment in order to ensure a clean and safe environment in adherence to the National Patient Safety Goals.
• Checks that fall risk patients have the appropriate armbands, socks, and signage to ensure physical safety.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education:

• Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

• Required: 6 months of related experience.

Licensure/Certification/Listing:

• Required: BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider; Nurse Aide Certification required.
