Cone Health Medical Group is seeking a Nursing Secretary NT I Plus 3 to assist the Registered Nurse by observing and documenting patient conditions, and by supporting patients with daily tasks under close supervision.

This role emphasizes patient care, mobility, admissions/discharges, safety checks, and maintaining a clean, safe environment aligned with safety goals. Requires a high school diploma, 1 year of related experience, and nurse aide plus CPR/BLS certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of related healthcare experience required.
• BLS CPR certification required (American Red Cross or AHA).

Responsabilités

• Supports patients with daily living tasks, including meals, personal care, and mobility to support recovery.
• Assesses patients' nutrition, hydration, and elimination to anticipate needs.
• Admits, transfers, and discharges patients per the plan of care.
• Assists with elimination needs including ostomy care and related items.
• Maintains unit inventories and a clean, safe environment per safety goals.
• Ensures fall risk patients have proper armbands and signage for safety.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

The Nursing Secretary NT I Plus 3 supports the Registered Nurse through observing and documenting patient conditions. Working under close supervision, this role assists with patient support through progressive mobility and assistance with daily tasks as needed.

Essential Job Function

• Supports patients with daily living tasks, including meals, personal care, and progressive mobility in order to support the recovery and plan of care.
• Assesses patients' quality of life related to nutrition, hydration, and elimination in order to distribute resources and anticipate patient needs.
• Admits, transfers, and discharges patients in order to move them to the appropriate locations in line with the plan of care.
• Assists with patient elimination needs, including ostomy care, enemas, and condom catheters to provide comfortable care for patients.
• Helps to maintain unit inventories of supplies and equipment in order to ensure a clean and safe environment in adherence to the National Patient Safety Goals.
• Checks that fall risk patients have the appropriate armbands, socks, and signage to ensure physical safety.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

• Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience

• Required: 1 year of related experience.

Licensure/Certification/Listing

• Required: Certification required by State of North Carolina DHHR. Nurse Aide Certification required. BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
