Job summary

Alden Estates of Naperville is seeking an experienced nurse supervisor to provide direct nursing care and oversee day-to-day activities performed by nursing staff on the unit.

The role requires a current RN or LPN license in Illinois or Wisconsin, CPR certification, and strong knowledge of nursing practices. The candidate should be personable, able to make independent decisions, and lead a team to deliver high-quality care to residents.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as an RN or LPN in IL and/or WI.
• Must possess CPR certificate or become certified within two weeks of employment.
• Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures.
• Shows interest/knowledge in elder care.
• Must read, write, and speak English clearly.
• Ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
• Ability to deal tactfully with customers, families, visitors, personnel, and the public.
• Leadership and supervisory ability; able to work harmoniously with others.
• Personable, enthusiastic, and resourceful.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct nursing for the unit.
• Directly supervise and instruct nursing staff to promote knowledge.
• Ensure adherence to department policies and dress code.
• Assist in developing a written plan of care for customers.
• Attend care plan conferences and communicate with physicians.
• Complete required assessments on admission, transfer, or discharge.
• Record and chart nursing notes and patient responses.
• Place orders for medications and treatments as ordered by physicians.
• Attend staff meetings and perform related duties as assigned.
• Maintain a warm, calm, and professional department atmosphere.
