Job summary

Qualifications

• Must hold an active RN or LPN license in Illinois or Wisconsin.
• CPR certification required or must obtain within two weeks.
• Knowledge of nursing practices and elder care.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly.
• Ability to make independent decisions when needed.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work with residents, families, and staff.
• Leadership and supervisory abilities essential.
• Personable, enthusiastic, and resourceful.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct care for residents.
• Directly supervise nursing staff and instruct on best practices.
• Ensure adherence to department policies and dress code.
• Develop written plans of care for each resident.
• Attend care plan conferences and report concerns to Administration.
• Counsel nursing personnel as needed.
• Make daily rounds to ensure duties are performed and procedures followed.
• Document nursing notes reflecting care and patient response.
• Complete required assessments on admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Record physician orders and ensure accuracy.
• Assist in budget guidance with equipment and supply needs.
