Job summary

ScionHealth is seeking a Nursing Supervisor at Kindred Hospital San Diego, a 70-bed long-term acute care facility located just outside downtown San Diego. The role supervises nursing staff, assesses patient needs, and plans and organizes unit training and guidance for staff.

You will develop nursing protocols, provide continuing education, maintain accurate health care records, manage supply inventories, and ensure documentation and quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited school of nursing.
• Valid state RN license.
• Valid BLS certification.
• Two years of nursing experience in a hospital.
• 1–2 years supervisory/leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Hires, trains, supervises and evaluates designated nursing staff; assigns duties and coordinates nursing services.
• Participates in developing nursing protocol and procedures.
• Provides continuing education and staff development opportunities for nursing staff.
• Assesses patient needs; participates in providing nursing care; ensures services are carried out and documented.
• Maintains patient health care records.
• Maintains supply inventory records; orders supplies and equipment, as necessary.

Kindred Hospital San Diego is a 70-bed long-term acute care hospital offering the same in-depth care you would receive in a traditional hospital, but for an extended recovery period. We partner with your physician and offer 24-hour clinical care seven days a week so you can start your journey to wellness. For those who need special care, we offer an eight-bed ICU and two negative pressure rooms. We are located just outside of downtown San Diego, less than two miles north of the San Diego Zoo.

Job Summary

Supervises nursing staff, assesses patients needs and provides nursing care for patients. Plans and organizes training for unit staff members and participates in guidance and educational programs.

Essential Functions

Pay Range: $49.71 - $63.04
