ScionHealth is seeking a Nurse Supervisor for Kindred Hospital San Francisco Bay Area in the San Leandro, CA region. The role oversees nursing staff, coordinates care, and ensures high-quality patient outcomes in a long-term acute care setting.

Qualified candidates will hold a nursing degree, an active RN license, and a BLS certification, with 2+ years of hospital nursing experience and 1–2 years in a supervisory capacity. Excellent English communication and attendance are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited school of nursing.
• Valid RN license.
• BLS certification.
• Two years of nursing experience in a hospital.
• 1 to 2 years supervisory/leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Hires, trains, supervises and evaluates designated nursing staff; assigns duties and coordinates nursing services.
• Participates in developing nursing protocol and procedures.
• Provides continuing education and staff development opportunities for nursing staff.
• Assesses patient needs; participates in providing nursing care; ensures services are carried out and documented appropriately.
• Maintains patient health care records.
• Maintains supply inventory records; orders supplies and equipment, as necessary.

Kindred Hospital San Francisco Bay Area is a 99-bed long-term acute care hospital offering the same in-depth care you would receive in a traditional hospital, but for an extended recovery period. We partner with your physician and offer 24-hour clinical care seven days a week so you can start your journey to wellness. For those who need special care, we offer a 10-bed ICu and two negative pressure rooms. We are located about 7 miles east of Oakland International Airport right off MacArthur Freeway (I-580).

Job Summary

Supervises nursing staff, assesses patients needs and provides nursing care for patients. Plans and organizes training for unit staff members and participates in guidance and educational programs.

Essential Functions

• Hires, trains, supervises and evaluates designated nursing staff; assigns duties and coordinates nursing services.
• Participates in developing nursing protocol and procedures.

Pay range: $45.05 -$57.13/Hr
