Job summary

Kindred Hospital San Francisco Bay Area is seeking an experienced nurse supervisor to oversee nursing staff, assess patient needs and plan unit training. The role is on-site and requires strong leadership and clinical skills.

Two years of hospital nursing experience and 1–2 years supervisory/leadership experience are expected, along with a valid RN license and BLS certification. This is a full-time, on-site position with competitive compensation and benefits.

Kindred Hospital San Francisco Bay Area is a 99-bed long-term acute care hospital offering the same in-depth care you would receive in a traditional hospital, but for an extended recovery period. We partner with your physician and offer 24-hour clinical care seven days a week so you can start your journey to wellness. For those who need special care, we offer a 10-bed ICu and two negative pressure rooms. We are located about 7 miles east of Oakland International Airport right off MacArthur Freeway (I-580).

Job Summary

Supervises nursing staff, assesses patients needs and provides nursing care for patients. Plans and organizes training for unit staff members and participates in guidance and educational programs.

Essential Functions

• Hires, trains, supervises and evaluates designated nursing staff; assigns duties and coordinates nursing services.
• Participates in developing nursing protocol and procedures.
• Provides continuing education and staff development opportunities for nursing staff.
• Assesses patient needs; participates in providing nursing care; ensures services are carried out and documented appropriately
• Maintains patient health care records.
• Maintains supply inventory records; orders supplies and equipment, as necessary.

Pay range: $45.05 - $57.13/Hr
