Job summary

Arcadia Care in Kankakee, IL seeks a Registered Nurse to provide direct resident care and supervise the nursing assistants on the shift. You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards as directed by the Director of Nursing to maintain high-quality care.

The role includes admitting, transferring and discharging residents, charting and transcribing orders, administering medications, and maintaining privacy and teamwork across departments.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing.
• English language proficiency.
• Ability to make independent decisions.
• Knowledge of nursing practices and applicable laws and guidelines.
• CPR certification required.
• Experience in long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants and plan shift services.
• Admit, transfer and discharge residents and provide shift reports.
• Complete and file required records, transcribe physician orders, and chart care.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information and privacy.
• Coordinate with inter-departmental staff to ensure quality care.
• Provide IV care and other routine nursing procedures as needed.
