Job summary

Gainesville-Health- is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct patient care and supervise licensed staff, stepping in as Nursing Supervisor when needed. The role involves leading clinical rounds, coordinating with physicians, lab, and pharmacy partners, and ensuring accurate documentation and patient safety.

The RN will perform assessments, contribute to care plans, participate in admissions and discharges, and maintain open communication with families and the care team.

Qualifications

• Current Virginia RN license in good standing.
• Two years of medical-surgical RN experience preferred.
• Ability to supervise licensed and non-licensed staff.
• Strong clinical, communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise nursing staff and patient care delivery.
• Perform physical assessments and document findings.
• Coordinate rounds with physicians and review orders; follow up with pharmacy.
• Manage admissions, discharges, and transfers; ensure rooms are prepared.
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation and timely reporting.
